Michael
B. Platt, b. 1948, Washington, DC is a visual artist known for
printmaking, charcoal drawings, installations and lately, for computer-generated
images. His subjects: the marginalized and the survivors. Drawing
permeates Platt's artwork and the firgure prevails. Respect and
passion for his subjects and subject matter are paramount. Platt
believes that creating art is about having something to say; about
renewal, experimentation and self-challenge. He calls himself an
